We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Infrastructure Engineering Lead to take day-to-day ownership of the Firm’s on-premises and cloud infrastructure. This role combines technical leadership with operational oversight, ensuring services are reliable and secure, while keeping infrastructure initiatives and team deliverables on track. The ideal candidate will be deeply technical, execution-focused, and experienced in leading teams in a dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Strategy

  • Ensures day-to-day operations of the team are run efficiently and effectively;
  • Leads, mentors, and develops engineers across Microsoft, Citrix, VMware, and storage disciplines;
  • Defines infrastructure standards and documentation practices;
  • Aligns and supports cloud migration and other projects with team resources;
  • Fosters a culture of accountability, automation, and continuous improvement;
  • Drives architectural planning, technology roadmaps, and capacity management.

Technical Delivery

  • Cloud & Modernization:
  • Provides architectural guidance, governance, and implementation leadership;
  • Manages IAM systems including Active Directory, Entra ID, and related services (i.e. conditional access, MFA);
  • Advises on device management and participate in projects such as MECM-to-Intune and MECM-to-Azure Arc for patching and reporting;
  • Virtualization & Citrix: Oversees VMware and Citrix platforms for performance, scalability, and compliance;
  • Storage & Data Protection: Ensures resilient backup, storage, and disaster recovery capabilities;
  • Automation & Monitoring: Drives automation initiatives and system monitoring improvements;
  • Security & Compliance: Maintains adherence to IT security and audit standards; and
  • Participates in team on-call rotation and performs additional duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline preferred;
  • Relevant certifications (Azure Administrator/Architect, VMware, Citrix) are a plus;
  • 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure engineering or architecture;
  • 2+ years in technical leadership or team lead capacity;
  • Proven experience with hybrid Microsoft and virtualization environments;
  • Demonstrated success in automation, modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives;
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure (Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, GPOs);
  • Strong background in Azure, VMware vSphere, Citrix DaaS, and MECM;
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation ability;
  • In-depth knowledge of storage, backup, and DR technologies;
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and business teams; and
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed, including nights and weekends.

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000 to $220,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
