OVERVIEW

The Accounts Payable Coordinator reviews and processes expense reports, accounts payable transactions and expense reimbursements for the Firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews expense reports for accuracy of coding, checks for receipts and approvals;
  • Processes all expense reports and reimbursements;
  • Communicates with various administrative staff and attorneys to discuss and resolve issues arising during the review of expense reports;
  • Reconciles lawyer and staff expense accounts;
  • Reviews invoices and vendor downloads for accuracy, appropriate charge numbers and approval;
  • Ensures that all requests for payment are properly documented before payment is made;
  • Corresponds with vendors in order to obtain proper documentation before payment is made;
  • Enters wires for payment in banking system and prints checks;
  • Enters new and updated vendor and W-9 information applicable systems;
  • Liaises with team members and IT department to implement and test system;
  • Works on special projects, as needed; and
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred;
  • 2+ years of experience in an Accounting or Accounts Payable department, preferably in a large corporate, professional services or law firm environment;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and accounting systems such as 3E and Chrome River;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Good communication and organizational skills;
  • Capable of analyzing and solving problems;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines;
  • Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information; and
  • Ability to work overtime, as needed.

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Monday through Friday. The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 plus overtime. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
