We are seeking a dynamic, technical Innovation & Engagement Specialist to support a variety of IT Department projects. This role has a primary focus on enhancing lawyer productivity and capabilities to increase value to the Firm’s clients.

 

Under the direction of the Head of Practice Technology, the Innovation & Engagement Specialist is also responsible for supporting and helping drive the Firm’s innovation initiatives by identifying, evaluating, and implementing technology and process improvements that enhance client service, operational efficiency, and attorney productivity. In doing so, the Innovation & Engagement Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams, including attorneys, managers, and other Firm stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What an Innovation & Engagement Specialist does at Cravath:

  • Under the direction of the Head of Practice Technology, assists with shaping the product strategy and direction;
  • Collaborates with attorneys, practice groups, and business teams to identify opportunities for innovation and facilitate adoption of new solutions;
  • Assesses and implements emerging technologies in the legal practice space, as well as upgrades and improvements to existing systems;
  • Oversees the adoption of new tools, from proof-of-concept to implementation, to ensure seamless integration into targeted workflows;
  • Communicates user needs effectively to IT personnel and works jointly to design and implement project solutions;
  • Solicits and evaluates feedback from various business unit stakeholders to create end-user change management and training;
  • Coordinates meetings, trainings, and workshops to facilitate innovation efforts;
  • Authors and designs promotional materials such as, tutorials, brochures, guides and communications;
  • Supports IT leaders in ensuring that innovation efforts align with strategic objectives;
  • Addresses challenges to project success, including proactively identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating with stakeholders;
  • Conducts active follow-ups on project status and operational tasks;
  • Creates and monitors metrics, usage reports and other measurements to evaluate effectiveness of information platforms and content; and
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Let’s talk if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience;
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar or related role, including a minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional services or law firm environment; experience in Legal, Financial or Technology Consulting industries preferred;
  • A general understanding of IT systems, networking and computer software;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and similar productivity tools;
  • Knowledge of Legal industry-specific software applications preferred, such as: document management, knowledge management, document review, contract analysis, enterprise search, time tracking, etc.;
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, time management, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Ability to manage priorities and adjust projects based on customer or management feedback;
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and eagerness to take on responsibility and learn new skills;
  • A client-centric approach and are passionate about innovation and driving organizational success;
  • An exceptionally high level of personal responsibility;
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic, 24x7 technology department; and
  • Availability to work additional hours, as needed.

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
