The Firm is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with strong skills in Azure, Microsoft services, and automation to support the Firm. In this position, you will architect, build, and maintain critical IT systems while driving cloud migrations and ensuring 24/7 operations. You will also collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cloud Migrations & Automation
Leads and assists with projects to transition on-premises services (e.g., OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune) into Azure and Office 365. Develops and maintains deployment scripts (i.e. PowerShell, ARM) to automate tasks.

Infrastructure Operations & Governance
Refines established Azure environment to ensure robust security, compliance, and consistent configurations. Manages role-based access control (RBAC), identity governance (conditional access, Entra ID, PIM), and continuous monitoring to ensure best practices.


Networking & Security
Designs and optimizes Azure networking (i.e. subnetting, virtual network peering and security groups, App Proxy) to balance performance and cost. Implements and maintains Azure security features (Policies, Conditional Access, MFA) and conduct regular audits to mitigate risks.


Collaboration & Problem Solving
Works cross-functionally to address complex technical challenges, troubleshoot critical issues, and continuously improve system performance and reliability.


Documentation & Standards
Maintains comprehensive system documentation, procedures, and business continuity plans to ensure consistency and clarity; and

Performs other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems or equivalent experience;
  • 5+ years managing enterprise IT infrastructure (including migrations to cloud services).
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Azure and the traditional Microsoft service stack (AD, DFS, GPOs, PKI) required;
  • Ability to demonstrate significant experience and skills at or beyond the Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) level, including in the following required areas: Conditional Access, PIM, RBAC, Entra ID, Networking and cost optimization;
  • Experience with other enterprise infrastructure systems strongly preferred, such as: Citrix, VMware, physical and virtual servers, network storage, and backup systems;
  • Strong scripting (PowerShell) experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse customers;
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities;
  • Will participate in off-hour on-call rotation; and
  • Availability to work additional hours as needed, including nights and weekends.

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
