OVERVIEW

The Attorney CLE Specialist is responsible for supporting formal attorney training programs and CLE compliance oversight as part of the Attorney Training, Compliance and Professional Development team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides general support to the Attorney Compliance & Admission Manager and Attorney Training Manager in their functions by ensuring attorneys receive robust training that complies with New York State’s Continuing Legal Education rules and maintain good standing;
  • Facilitates the coordination of attorney training programs, including:
    • Participating in on the ground oversight of CLE training programs;
    • Liaising with Partners and other departments, as necessary, to execute training programs;
    • Oversight of relevant materials, scheduling and documentation; and
    • Assistance with ad hoc client trainings.
  • Ensures live and recorded programming integration through the Firm’s Online CLE Center;
  • Supports admission and compliance tracking, documentation and development;
  • Communicates with attorneys of all levels with regard to training and compliance matters;
  • As related to attorney training and compliance, supports attorney recruiting, onboarding and departures;
  • Assists with the development of professional skills programs and other professional development initiatives;
  • Assists with the integration and training program for Summer Associates;
  • Supports the implementation and development of Well-Being programming;
  • Provides general assistance on ad-hoc projects; and
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • 2+ years of professional services experience;
  • Large law firm or corporation experience preferred; title is dependent upon applicable work experience;
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Excellent proofreading and auditing skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, in addition to superior judgment;
  • Must be team-oriented and work well in a collaborative team environment;
  • Capable of solving problems and meeting deadlines;
  • Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information and have a professional demeanor;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate several activities at one time;
  • Must have the ability to work and interact effectively with attorneys and staff at all levels, and the ability to gain strong knowledge of the Firm, its culture, practices and policies; and
  • Availability to work overtime, as needed.

 

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Monday through Friday. The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 plus overtime. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
