OVERVIEW

The Docket Coordinator reviews documents generated in the Firm’s litigation matters, drafts and enters a description of the documents into CourtAlert Case Management, the Litigation Department’s computerized docketing and calendaring system, and enters names of all parties and counsel in each litigation matter. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Dockets court filings utilizing the CourtAlert Case Management System with precision and attention to detail;
  • Enters names of parties and counsel in each litigation matter;
  • Accurately calendars appearances and deadlines pursuant to state and federal court rules;
  • Responds to Firm attorney and staff docketing and calendaring questions;
  • Communicates with court staff to confirm docketing and calendaring questions, as needed;
  • Maintains litigation databases, including party/counsel, pro hac vice, bar admissions, etc.;
  • Monitors cases and retrieves documents with the use of various online resources, including BloomgbergLaw, CourtLink and File&Serve; and
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • At least two years of related work experience in a large corporate litigation law firm;
  • Familiarity with legal documents and the litigation process;
  • Knowledge of state and federal court rules preferred;
  • Proficiency in CourtAlert Case Management; PACER; NYSCEF, BloomgbergLaw, CourtLink, File&Service, Office 365, and Adobe PDF preferred;
  • Familiarity with automated, rules-based docketing and calendaring system;
  • Excellent organizational, computer, typing and communications skills and strong attention to detail;
  • Must be able to work and interact with all staff at all levels;
  • Capable of solving problems and meeting deadlines; and
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Monday through Friday.  The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $85,000 plus overtime.  The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
