OVERVIEW

The Financial Reporting Analyst provides reporting assistance to the Financial Planning & Analysis group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for handling ad hoc requests from other administrative departments;
  • Responsible for various weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual productivity and financial reports for executive management team members;
  • Updates and refreshes shared data sources and files used to provide quick financial metrics;
  • Responsible for providing data for monthly and seasonal reporting on:
    • Business Development statistics for pitch books, Firm website, etc.
    • Diversity and Inclusion (client, industry publications, in-house statistics)
    • Pro Bono activity (client, industry publications, in-house statistics)
    • Legal staff productivity and financial statistics
  • Assists in updating and maintaining various Excel databases used by other departments;
  • Works cooperatively with IT and outside consultants on implementing, testing and supporting Partner Dashboards, queries and data upkeep for business intelligence tools; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned.­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or math required;
  • At least 1-3 years of related work experience; law firm experience a plus;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required;
  • Experience with MS SQL preferred;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize projects and accomplish objectives within specific deadlines is a must;
  • Must demonstrate keen attention to detail and strong problem solving ability;
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and coordinate several activities at once;
  • Proficiency in the following technologies preferred: Elite 3E Billing System, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS Reports, iManage, Outlook, Webex, and Adobe Acrobat; and
  • Ability to work additional hours, as needed.

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
