OVERVIEW

The Attorney Talent Recruitment Assistant assists with all aspects of the Firm’s experienced attorney hiring, including lateral, post-clerkship and LL.M. hiring for our New York, Washington, D.C. and London offices. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with the recruitment and hiring of experienced attorneys across the Firm’s New York, D.C. and London offices;
  • Assists with all aspects of judicial clerk outreach and hiring;
  • Liaises with law schools on timing of applications and participation in LL.M. job fairs;
  • Provides support for full-cycle hiring process, which includes performing initial review of applications, processing applications, coordinating applicant interviews, collecting feedback, executing offer letters and/or Terms and Conditions, where applicable, and assisting with reference checks;
  • Collaborates with other members in the department regarding bar admission status and with the Firm’s Immigration Attorney on immigration-related questions, as necessary;
  • Prepares and tracks search firm agreements;
  • Verifies placement fees and processes payments;
  • Supports ad hoc hiring partner reporting;
  • Documents processes and procedures, as needed; and
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, including assisting during the 1L and 2L recruiting seasons.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • 0-2 years of legal recruiting or talent experience or applicable experience in a service industry firm;
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, in addition to superior judgment;
  • Ability to work and interact with attorneys and staff at all levels and quickly gain a strong understanding of the Firm, its culture, practices and policies;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with a wide range of professionals;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn and use recruiting applications built specifically for the Firm;
  • Ability to conduct online research and synthesize information;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage projects efficiently;
  • Capable of solving problems and meeting deadlines;
  • Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information; and
  • Availability to work overtime, as needed.

 

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Monday through Friday. The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 plus overtime. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
