OVERVIEW

The Legal Talent Coordinator works in close collaboration with the Firm’s Legal Talent Manager and entire department to coordinate all aspects of attorney status changes, including interoffice transfers, leaves of absence, secondments and changes in employment status.  The role requires sound judgment, the ability to multitask and work well under pressure, while being thoughtful and collaborative about problem solving while managing competing deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates all New York/London/D.C. transfer logistics;
  • Handles various aspects of Attorney Leaves and Secondments with oversight from Legal Talent Manager;
  • Coordinates the legal staff part-time program, in close collaboration with Legal Talent Management team;
  • Administers logistics related to attorneys transitioning to alternative work arrangements;
  • Coordinates a wide variety of administrative aspects related to title and status changes in employment and title;
  • Assists with special and highly confidential projects involving cross functional collaboration with various Firm departments;
  • Supports Legal Talent Manager by helping to field questions and requests from legal staff and prepares support materials, as needed;
  • Works in close collaboration with Legal Talent team members on all aspects of legal staff departure process;
  • Develops and maintains proficiency in Firm policies and procedures as they relate to lawyers;
  • Works closely with members of Firmwide Legal Talent team on various associate matters; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • 4+ years of Legal Personnel experience or applicable experience in a service industry firm. Title will be dependent upon substantive work experience;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to successfully work and interact with attorneys at all levels;
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and competing deadlines;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other legal personnel databases and demonstrate the ability to learn, use and drive developments of various homegrown legal talent and recruiting applications;
  • Superior judgment and ability to deal discreetly with confidential information; and
  • Availability to work additional hours, including business-related travel, as needed.

 

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Monday through Friday.  The estimated salary range for a Legal Talent Coordinator is $90,000 to $110,000.  The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
