OVERVIEW

The Legal Recruiting Specialist will work directly with various members of the Firm’s legal recruiting team and Hiring Partners to support the Firm's Summer Associate Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates aspects of Summer Associate onboarding, including data entry, facilitation of background checks, liaising with internal counsel on onboarding issues related to immigration, conflicts and splits, as well as file organization and maintenance;
  • Ensures Summer Program logistical details are handled and communicated effectively, including IT setup needs, secretarial assignments and seating placement;
  • Works with managers to coordinate Summer Associate and SEO assignments, department rotations, evaluations and Associate Advisor Program;
  • Coordinates aspects of Summer Associate rotations to London, including assistance with short-term housing and immigration needs;
  • Handles logistical items surrounding Summer Associate weekend and attends Summer Associate events;
  • Serves as a Summer Associate liaison;
  • Executes Associate offer letters and follow-up;
  • Provides ongoing support with all orientation logistics;
  • Assists with Associate departure logistics, including conducting exit interviews;
  • Assists with Part-Time Legal Intern Program;
  • Provides guidance to temporary staff on processes and procedures;
  • Supports ad hoc hiring partner reporting;
  • Documents processes and procedures, as needed; and
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, including assisting during the recruiting season.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • At least two years of legal recruitment or talent experience or applicable experience in a service industry firm;
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, in addition to superior judgment;
  • Ability to work and interact with attorneys and staff at all levels and quickly gain a strong understanding of the Firm, its culture, practices and policies;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with a wide range of professionals;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and use recruiting applications built specifically for the Firm;
  • Ability to conduct online research and synthesize information;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage projects efficiently;
  • Capable of solving problems and meeting deadlines;
  • Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information; and
  • Availability to work overtime, as needed.

 

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Monday through Friday. The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 plus overtime. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
